Heute ernte ich mal monochrom 😂 der erste Butternut Kürbis und ganz viele Physalis! Und was soll ich sagen?! Ich bin verliebt 😍 der Butternut ist ein Traum! Ganz mild und fein! Dagegen ist ein Hokkaido eher kräftig im Geschmack und grieseliger/grober. Im nächsten Post seht ihr was leckeres daraus wurde. 😋 ~~~~

That’s another tray of apples harvested and ready for storage until they get used in an apple pie or simply with our lunches .

Its 38 degrees out and the summer garden hasn’t given up on me yet. I’m meeting my window lady today for the rest of what I need for my greenhouse and surprising her with some goodies (minus my cotton)! . . . . . .

need of some advice! Since we don’t have a greenhouse we’ve moved the lemontree into the unheated mudroom, where there is a lot of daylight. We’ll water it only once a month during winter, as adviced. But it has a lot of unripe lemons on it! Will they ripe? Is there some...

I’m really behind on getting things going in the garden. Doing the best to up pot all the seedlings to buy some time for garden bed prepping!

It’s persimmon time! My parents dropped off a bag of the smaller persimmons the other day... but I should be getting bigger ones from their tree in the next few days! . . . . . .

It is official! My largest cabbage this year was 1.35kg! Not bad considering this was my first successful cabbage harvest EVER!! 🥬

Yesterday it was the village pumpkin competition. So it was time to pick my not terribly giant Atlantic Giant. So how did I do? Well let me just tell you that the winner made my offering look utterly laughable... as did second place, oh yeah, and there were only 3 entries😂😂😂! Laugh or cry right? Well there’s always next year... . . . . . .

this pumpkin has had an identity crisis. Found it halfway up my runner bean frames whilst cleaning up. . . . . . .
